Analysis

This resolution will amend the method of dedication for a portion of the City-owned vacant lot at 12207 West Brown Deer Road for the construction of North 124th Street.

Body

Whereas, In File No. 991636 adopted on February 29, 2000, the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee approved the conveyance of a portion of the City-owned vacant lot at 12207 West Brown Deer Road (Tax Key No. 038-9978-100-6) to the State of Wisconsin ("State") for improvement and realignment of North 124th Street; and

Whereas, The State has requested that the land not be conveyed to the State but that the land be dedicated directly by the City of Milwaukee as public right of way; and

Whereas, The amount of compensation for the dedication remains unchanged from the original offer to purchase; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the proper City officials are authorized to execute documents necessary to dedicate a portion of the land at 12207 West Brown Deer Road as public right of way; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the compensation provided by the State, less a 15 percent fee to the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee and other customary closing costs, shall be deposited to City Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 334106, Fund 0001, Organization 9990.
