Substitute resolution relative to the application, acceptance and funding of a 1998 Milwaukee County Youth Employment Summer Program Grant.
ANLS:
This resolution authorizes the Office of Employment and Youth Services to apply for, accept and fund a program with a grant from Milwaukee Employment and Training, Inc. in the amount of $11,831 with a city share of $364 (3%) and a grantor share of $11,467 (97%). The purpose of the grant is to assist in the funding of DCD-OEYS' "Summer Youth Employment Program".
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Milwaukee Employment and Training, Inc. for its College Credit Program; and
Whereas, The operation of this grant project/program from June 15, 1998 through August 31, 1998 would cost $11,831 of which $364 (3%) would be provided by the city, $11,467 (97%) would be provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to Milwaukee County's Milwaukee Employment and Training Inc. is authorized and the Office of Employment and Youth Services shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Encumber in the parent accounts of the 1998 Special Revenue Accounts-Grant and Aid Projects, the following amounts for the project/program titled 1998 Milwaukee County Youth Employment Summer Program (MCYEP):
