ANLS:
- ANALYSIS - This resolution approves an agreement between the City of Milwaukee and the North Water Street Tavern and Restaurant Association regarding maintenance of special public improvements to be installed in the district. Funding for these improvements (median paving and trash receptacles) was previously approved by the Common Council (File No. 971992).
 
 
BODY:
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee has approved File No. 971992 being a resolution authorizing use of City funds for special public improvements in the North Water Street nightlife district; and
 
Whereas, The planned public improvements include stamped, colored concrete paving in the North Water Street median between East Highland and East Juneau Avenues and non-standard trash receptacles to be distributed throughout the district; and
 
Whereas, It has been the City's practice to require a Maintenance Agreement with the benefiting district whenever special public improvements are installed at the City's expense; and
 
Whereas, A Public Improvement Development and Maintenance Agreement for North Water Street has been prepared and is attached to the file as an exhibit; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, That the Public Improvement Development and Maintenance Agreement for North Water Street is hereby approved; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized and directed to provide assistance as needed in the implementation of this agreement; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized to make minor non-substantive changes to the Out of Program Agreement prior to its execution.
