Resolution relative to acceptance, and funding of a 2019 Pedestrian Enforcement grant (Police Department).
Analysis:
This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Police Department to accept and fund a Pedestrian Enforcement grant from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Division of State Patrol, Bureau of Transportation Safety in the amount of $45,000 which is fully funded by the grantor with no City match. The purpose of this grant is to reduce the number of pedestrian and bicycle crashes at those locations where there is a history of such violations and accidents.

Whereas, Under the terms of CFDA #20.600, the City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for a Pedestrian Enforcement grant from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Division of State Patrol, Bureau of Transportation Safety, and
Whereas, The operation of this grant from 1/1/19 to 9/30/19 would cost $45,000 of which $45,000 would be provided by the grantor and $0.00 will be provided by the City; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, the Police Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Section 304-81, Milwaukee Code Ordnances; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant Parent of the 2019 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects, the following amount for the program titled: Pedestrian Enforcement 2019 Project Grant:
