Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the Medical Assistance Outreach Grant from the Annie E. Casey Foundation in the amount of $30,000. The purpose of the grant is to assist low income families in obtaining health insurance and food stamps.

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Annie E. Casey Foundation to assist low income families in obtaining health insurance and food stamps; and
Whereas, The operation of this grant project from 01/01/02 to 12/31/02 would cost $30,000 provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the Annie E. Casey Foundation is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to commit funds within Project/Grant Parent 2002 Special Revenue Grant and Aid Project fund, the following amount for the project titled Medical Assistance Outreach Grant:

Further Resolved, That these funds are budgeted to the Health Department which is authorized to:
