ANLS:
This resolution approves an additional appropriation of $15,000 from the Outside Counsel/Expert Witness Special Purpose Account for the purpose of providing outside counsel to the Employes' Retirement System/Annuity and Pension Board in a cross claims against the City in Milwaukee Employes' Retirement System, et al. v. City of Milwaukee, Case No. 97-CV-007996.
BODY:
Whereas, The Employes' Retirement System/Annuity and Pension Board, are the plaintiffs in Milwaukee Employes' Retirement System, et al. v. City of Milwaukee, Case No. 97-CV-007996; and

Whereas, The Employes' Retirement System/Annuity and Pension Board have negotiated a contract with the firm of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek, S.C. to provide them with representation in the above-referenced action; and

Whereas, FN 970723 adopted on 11/25/97 transferred $15,000 from a closed case; and

Whereas, FN 980719 adopted on 9/23/98 appropriated $10,000 from the common council contingent fund to the outside counsel/expert witness fund special purpose account; and there are numerous bills pending; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, That the sum of $15,000 be appropriated from the Outside Counsel/Expert Witness Fund Special Purpose Account No. 0001-1490-0001-S157-634001 to the City Attorney's Office for the purpose of providing outside counsel to the Employes' Retirement System/Annuity and Pension Board under the terms of the contract, be and hereby is approved such amounts to be expended upon the presentation and approval of invoices for service by the Office of the Ci...
