Body
Whereas, On July 6, 2012, the Common Council approved File Number 120090, a motion authorizing Quest-Milwaukee, Inc., to operate a Milwaukee Common Council charter school beginning with the 2013-2014 school year; and
Whereas, Quest-Milwaukee, Inc. desires to begin operating in 2014 instead of 2013 as was originally planned; and
Whereas, The Charter School Review Committee at its August 6, 2012, meeting voted to recommend that the Common Council approve Quest-Milwaukee's request to begin operating in 2014 instead of 2013; now, therefore
It is moved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Common Council approves the Charter School Review Committee's recommendation and authorizes Quest-Milwaukee, Inc., to operate a Milwaukee Common Council charter school beginning with the 2014-2015 school year; and
It is further moved, That Common Council File Number 120090, approved July 6, 2012, is amended by deleting in the "It is moved" clause the reference to the "2013-2014 school year" and inserting in lieu thereof the "2014-2015 school year."
