Whereas, An application was submitted by Tanzanique Carrington, on behalf of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, on April 6th; and

Whereas, The application was reviewed by the Department of Public Works and all related costs have been paid; and

Whereas, The Citizen Advisory Committee on the Naming of Public Buildings, Facilities and Streets met on May 30, 2024 and voted five ayes and one excused to recommend approval of this honorary naming; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that assigning the honorary street name "Gloria Ford Gilmer, Ph.D" to West Highland Avenue from North 6th Street to North 8th Street is approved.
