This resolution amends Common Council File 961165 relative to acceptance and subsequent expenditure of contributions received by the City for SAFE NIGHT initiative. This funding will assist small community groups with sponsoring SAFE NIGHT activities.
BODY:
Whereas, Common Council File 961165 authorized the Health Department to accept $10,000 of contributions for the department's SAFE NIGHT initiative and to expend such funds for this purpose; and
Whereas, The Health Department now anticipates receiving $15,000 from organizations for SAFE NIGHT activities; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Health Department is authorized to accept an additional $5,000 of contributions for the department's SAFE NIGHT initiative and to expend such funds for this purpose, no more than the amount actually received, in accordance with established City policies and procedures; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer appropriations and estimated revenue from the Special Purpose Account for Donor Specified Municipal Purposes, 01-027-8001, and the Estimated Revenue Account for Donor Specified Municipal Purposes 01-999-9960, to the Health Department's special account and the departments estimated revenue account, 01-381-9963, up to the amount of $15,000.
