This resolution directs the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution which vacates a portion of the above public street in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 66.297(1), Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 81-308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
BODY:
Whereas, It has been proposed by the Department of Public Works Infrastructure Services Division that the easterly 20 feet of North Cambridge Avenue between East Newport Avenue and East Providence Avenue be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 66.297 of the Wisconsin Statues; and
Whereas, The vacation of this portion of North Cambridge Avenue is necessary to eliminate the encroachment of several structures from North Cambridge Avenue so that a street paving program can proceed this summer; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare a resolution to vacate this public right-of-way in accordance with Section 81-308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
