This resolution authorizes the sale of a City-owned former fire station to the highest acceptable bidder with a minimum bid of no less than $60,000, subject to current zoning.
BODY:
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has determined that there is no municipal need for said property; and
 
Whereas, The Public Improvements Committee recommended that said property be sold to the highest acceptable bidder with a minimum bid, subject to current zoning; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the City-owned former fire station located at 2509 West Capitol Drive, Tax Roll Key No. 270-0301-2, is declared surplus and that the Department of City Development is authorized and directed to advertise said property for sale by sealed bid to the highest acceptable bidder meeting or exceeding a minimum bid of $60,000 and the proposed reuse meets current zoning (LB-40), pursuant to the terms and conditions of Section 304-49 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as may be required to consummate the sale of said property and that the proceeds be credited to the Sale of City Property Account No. 01-191-9944; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That as a condition of the sale of surplus property, purchaser is required to bring said property into compliance with applicable building codes within the time specified by the Building Inspection Department or said property may revert back to the ownership of the City of Milwaukee upon action by the Common Council.
