Title
Substitute resolution approving construction of nonassessable public improvement projects at various locations.
Analysis
This resolution directs the installation and construction of certain public improvements which have been determined to be nonassessable by the Commissioner of Public Works.
Body
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted preliminary resolutions determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct nonassessable improvements; and
Whereas, Plans, specifications and cost estimates have been prepared for the following described improvements:
8th Aldermanic District
W. Canal St. - N. 25th St. to Selig Dr. (BR320051110) File Number 041405: Additional costs for protection of railroad facilities below the bridges. (City Share Nonassessable Structure Fund -- $250,000) The total cost to date of the bridge portion is $15.7 million.
8th and 12th Aldermanic Districts
W. Canal St. - N. 6th St. to N. 25th St. (East End) (WT410041114) File Number 040946: Additional costs to remove excess contaminated soil. (Nonassessable Water Fund -- $100,000) The total cost to date for the east end water is $660,000.
W. Canal St. - N. 6th St. to N. 25th St. (ST320041110) File Number 031256: Costs for the east end to remove excess contaminated soil. (City Share Nonassessable Paving Fund -- $600,000) The total costs to date for the street portion is $15.4 million.
15th Aldermanic District
