Whereas, Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity, Inc., has offered to purchase various vacant, tax-deed and/or City-owned lots for $1 each for new residential construction for owner-occupants; and
Whereas, These properties are listed in Common Council File Number 001361; and
Whereas, The City Plan Commission will consider the offer to purchase these properties on February 12, 2001; and
Whereas, The Public Improvements Committee will also consider this matter at its meeting on February 14, 2001; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Common Council expresses its intent to support declaring various tax-deed and/or City-owned lots, which are listed in Resolution File Number 001361, surplus, and acceptance of an offer to purchase these properties from Habitat for Humanity, Inc., provided the City Plan Commission recommends said sale to the Common Council.
