Resolution relative to acceptance and funding of the Childhood Lead Detection Grant. (Health Department)
ANLS:
This resolution authorizes the Health Department to accept and fund the Childhood Lead Detection Grant project from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services in the amount of $376,258. The purpose of the project is to support comprehensive and coordinated service delivery to lead-poisoned children through data management, community outreach, nursing care management and technical services.
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services for data management, community outreach, nursing care management and technical services; and

Whereas, The operation of this grant project from 07/01/99 to 06/30/00 would cost $376,258 provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to commit funds within Project/Grant Parent 1999 Special Revenue Grant and Aid Project fund, the following amount for the project titled Lead Detection Grant:
