Analysis

This ordinance amends the sister cities application process by requiring local organizations sponsoring a sister city relationship to provide proof of an application for nonprofit status or proof of nonprofit status.

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1.  Sections 335-5-2-b to f of the code are renumbered to read 335-5-2-c to g.

Part 2.  Section 335-5-2-b of the code is created to read:

335-5.  Application Process.

2.  b.  Proof of an application for nonprofit status or proof of nonprofit status of the organization seeking to establish a sister city relationship.
