Whereas, The Common Council, in Resolution No. 040256, adopted July 7, 2004, authorized the proper City officials to negotiate a lease with Columbia St. Mary's for a temporary helipad to be located on property at 2275 North Lincoln Memorial Drive, under the jurisdiction of the Milwaukee Water Works; and

Whereas, A proposed lease for such purposes has been negotiated and is attached to this file and whose principal terms are: a 3-year term expiring on September 30, 2007, ability on the part of Columbia St. Mary's to extend the term for an additional two years (in the event that the permanent helipad to be constructed next to Columbia St. Mary's new hospital is not operational) and upon approval of the Board of Zoning Appeals for a continued special use permit, rent of $1,000.00 per year, and upon lease expiration or termination, Columbia St. Mary's will remove the temporary helipad and restore the site with various plantings; and

Whereas, The Office of the City Attorney has assisted in negotiating and drafting this proposed lease and the proposed lease is recommended by the Commissioner of Public Works and the Superintendent of the Milwaukee Water Works; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proposed lease as attached to this file is hereby approved, with any non-substantive changes approved by...
