Recommendation of non-renewal for the following Class "D" bartenders based upon non-appearance:

Eugene Timm
Lee Whiting
Recommendation of renewal with a 10-day suspension for the Class "B" Tavern, Tavern Dance and Videogame Center licenses of John Strege for the premises at 9316 W. Appleton Ave. ("The Rock") in the 5th Aldermanic District based upon police report and neighborhood objection
Recommendation of renewal with a 10-day suspension of the Class "A" Malt license of Anoopinder Dhillon for the premises at 233 W. Center St. ("Li'l General") in the 6th Aldermanic District based upon neighborhood objection(written exceptions have been filed)
Recommendation of renewal with a 20-day suspension of the Class "D" Bartender license of Darryl Gladney based upon the police report
The President questioned whether the members of the Common Council read the Report and Recommendations of the Utilities and Licenses Committee in the matter and any written exceptions?
Ayes: 15 - Ald. Davis, D'Amato, Bohl, Johnson-Odom, Gordon, Donovan, Richards, Wade, Dudzik, Sanchez, Witkowski, Breier, Nardelli, Murphy and President Pratt.
Excused: 1 - Ald. Hines.
THE CHAIR asked whether the following applicants or their counsel were present and wished to address the Council.
John Strege was present and wished to address the Common Council.
ALD. WADE moved that the Common Council do now resolve itself into a committee of the Whole for the purpose of hearing from John Strege and Assistant City Attorney Bruce Schrimpf relative to the foregoing matter.
PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
Mr. John Strege and Assistant City Attorney Bruce Schrimpf appeared and addressed the committee relative to the foregoing matter
ALD. NARDELLI moved that the Committee do now rise.
ALD. BOHL moved for renewal of the Class "B" Tavern License with a 10 day suspension for the tavern dance license for John Strege for the premises at 9316 W. Appleton Avenue.
The motion prevailed.
Ayes: 15 - Ald. Davis, D'Amato, Bohl, Johnson-Odom, Gordon, Donovan, Richards, Wade, Dudzik, Sanchez, Witkowski, Breier, Nardelli, Murphy and President Pratt.
Noes: 1 - Ald. Hines.
Anoopinder Dhillon present and wished to address the Common Council
ALD. SANCHEZ moved that the common council do now resolve into a committee of the Whole for the purpose of hearing from Mr. Anoopender and Assistant City Attorney Bruce Schrimpf relative to the foregoing matter.

appeared and addressed the committee relative to the foregoing matter.
ALD. JOHNSON-ODOM moved that the Committee do now rise.
ALD. D'AMATO moved for renewal notwithstanding the Utilities and Licenses recommendations with no suspension.
The motion failed.
Ayes: 9 - Ald. D'Amato, Johnson-Odom, Gordon, Richards, Dudzik, Witkowski, Nardelli, Murphy and President Pratt.
Noes: 6 - Ald. Davis, Bohl, Donovan, Wade, Sanchez and Breier.
ALD. BOHL moved for separate action on file 030595 as amended.
The motion prevailed.
