Analysis

This resolution directs the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution to vacate said street in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. This vacation was requested by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (“WISDOT”) for consolidation of land in conjunction with WISDOT's Milwaukee Intermodal Station development.

Whereas, It has been proposed by the Department of City Development that North 6th Street from West St. Paul Avenue to a point South 160 feet be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare a resolution to vacate said street in accordance with Section 308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
