Title
Resolution authorizing the City of Milwaukee’s Department of Public Works - Milwaukee Water Works to execute an amendment to the intergovernmental cooperation agreement between the City of Milwaukee and the Milwaukee Public Schools to establish additional worksites for the School to Work Transition Program.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works - Milwaukee Water Works to execute an amendment that identifies additional Water Works facilities that can host participants in the MPS STWTP.
Body
Whereas, The purpose of this Amendment is to establish additional worksites at a Milwaukee Water Works facilities; and

Whereas, The STWTP includes the Community Assessment and Training Program (“CATP”) which has been operating at the original Milwaukee Water Works worksite since January, 2024; and

Whereas, MPS requires a host to provide services to at least eight (8) students each semester in order to justify the resources that MPS must dedicate to each host; and

Whereas, Milwaukee Water Works has capacity to host four (4) additional students at other worksites; and

Whereas, MPS has capacity to serve four (4) additional students at these worksites; and

Whereas, The expansion to additional worksites will result in no added program costs to the City; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, That the proposed Amendment to the Agreement is hereby approved; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the appropriate City officers and employees, including the Commissioner of Public Works, are hereby authorized to sign the Amendment, or one in substantially the same form and substance as submitted; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the appropriate City officers and employees are to undertake such acts as are required of the City to effectuate the Amendment and this resolution.
