Analysis
This resolution authorizes the expenditure of funds for the Fifth District Thanksgiving Giveaway.
Whereas, The Fifth District Thanksgiving Giveaway assists families in need by providing gift cards for the purchase of food for Thanksgiving; and
Whereas, The Thanksgiving Giveaway has already received commitments of support from Milwaukee Harley-Davidson and other sponsors; and
Whereas, The Thanksgiving Giveaway will be held in November, and residents who register will be able to pick up gift cards while supplies last; and
Whereas, The Thanksgiving Giveaway was recognized as an official City event by Common Council File Number 260832; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, That the Common Council-City Clerk’s Office is authorized to expend contributions for the purpose of the Fifth District Thanksgiving Giveaway.
