This resolution confirms the report of the Commissioner of Public Works, as modified by the Common Council Committee, on projects for which Public Hearings have been held. The resolution authorizes the levying of special assessments and directs the installation and construction of said public improvements.
BODY:
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted preliminary resolutions, determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct and levy special assessments for the following improvements:

1st Aldermanic District

Alley between W. Courtland Ave., N. Green Bay Ave., W. Hampton Ave., N. Parkway Ave. and N. 18th St. (888-0727-6) File Number 960973: Concrete alley pavement reconstruction, replace some abutting sidewalk and driveway approaches, grading, and storm drainage facilities where needed. (Nonassessable Alley Paving Fund 31-523---212-0001 -- $50,250; Assessable Alley Paving Fund 71-523---212-0001 -- $31,730

1st and 9th Aldermanic Districts

W. Villard Ave. - N. Teutonia Ave. to N. Sherman Blvd. (892-0158-6) (2984-17-70) File Number 960092: Narrowing the entire roadway from 48 ft. to 44 ft.; asphalt pavement resurfacing between N. Teutonia Ave. and N. 35th St., and concrete pavement reconstruction between N. 35th St. and N. Sherman Blvd.; replace all curb and gutter, and driveway approaches, replace sidewalk where needed, sodding, and grading.
