Title
Substitute resolution approving a Second Amendment to Law Enforcement Special
Assignment Grant Agreement for the Bradley Center.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes a Second Amendment to the Law Enforcement Special Assignment Grant Agreement between the City and the Bradley Center Sports and Entertainment Corporation. That agreement was originally entered into on July 1, 2002 and amended on December 30, 2003. The term of the current agreement expires on September 30, 2005. This amendment will extend that agreement for an additional two years.
Body
Whereas, The City, acting through its Chief of Police, and the Bradley Center Sports and Entertainment Corporation entered into a July 1, 2002 Law Enforcement Special Assignment Grant Agreement authorized pursuant to Common Council File No. 011573 adopted April 23, 2002; and
Whereas, The term of that agreement expired on September 30, 2003; and
Whereas, The parties entered into an amendment to that agreement extending the term to September 20, 2005, as authorized pursuant to Common Council File No. 031132 adopted December 19, 2003; and
Whereas, The parties desire to further extend the term of that agreement for an additional period ending on September 30, 2007; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Second Amendment to the Law Enforcement Special Assignment Grant Agreement attached to this file be and hereby is approved and that the Chief of Police is authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the City of Milwaukee.
