Title:

Resolution approving a Lease Agreement with the United States Coast Guard.

Analysis

This resolution would approve a lease agreement with the United States Coast Guard for approximately 7.4 acres of real property located at 2420 S. Lincoln Memorial Drive.  The term of the lease is for one year commencing October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012 with at 25-year option through September 30, 2037; and

Body

Whereas, The Board of Harbor Commissioners at their meeting of August 18, 2011 acted by vote of the Board to approve this lease; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said Common Council hereby ratifies and approves the Lease Agreement between the United States Coast Guard and the City of Milwaukee, by and through its Board of Harbor Commissioners for lease of approximately 7.4 acres of property; and, be it 

Further Resolved, That the designated officers of said government and of said Board of Harbor Commissioners are hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement to carry out this purpose.
