Resolution amending Common Council Resolution 040975 that appropriated $510,000 from the 2004 Common Council Contingent Fund for Worker's Compensation.

Analysis

All the funding provided by resolution 040975 was not needed.  There remains $280,237 of unused contingent funds in the Worker's Compensation fund.  This resolution will amend the original appropriation and return the remaining funds to the 2004 Common Council Contingent Fund.

Whereas, Common Council resolution 040975 appropriated $510,000 to the Worker's Compensation fund from the 2004 Common Council Contingent Fund; and

Whereas, Only $229,763 of these funds were needed; and

Whereas, The city faces funding shortages in other accounts; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council that resolution 040975 be amended to appropriate $229,763 to the Worker's Compensation Fund from the 2004 Common Council Contingent Fund instead of the initial $510,000; and, be it

Further Resolved, That $280,237 of unused funds from the 2004 Common Council Contingent Fund for Worker's Compensation be returned to the Common Council Contingent Funds for further distribution.
