Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper city officers be and they hereby are authorized and directed to issue a city check in the total sum of $150.00 to Rita Anderson, 2012 North 51^st Street, Milwaukee, WI  53208, to reimburse her for property damage; and, be it

Further Resolved, That members have taken testimony from the claimant and City representatives, and a lack of any City records dealing with possible installation of the metal in question leaves room for doubt as to responsibility.  Based on this review, members of the Committee believe it is most cost-effective to compromise and reduce the amount claimed from $350.00 to $150.00.  This resolution would release the City from any further liability arising from this incident; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the check is to be delivered upon presentation of a proper release, approved by the City Attorney; said amount to be charged to Account No. 636505, Fund - 0001, Organization - 1490, Program - 2631, Sub Class - S118.
