Title

Substitute resolution relating to the appeal of Vivian Kidd relative to a claim for property damages.

Body

Whereas, Members of the Judiciary and Legislation Committee have reviewed the records relating to this claim in the amount of $1,340.00, relating to the towing and storage charges incurred when a private vehicle was towed on July 12, 2005 from 2718 North 21st Street.  Members of the Committee recommend that the claimant be paid the amount of $275.00 for the towing fee.

 

; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper city officers be and they hereby are authorized and directed to issue a city check in the total sum of  $275.00 payable to Vivian Kidd, 2020 West Center Street, Milwaukee WI 53206, for  the towing fee; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That the check is to be delivered upon presentation of a proper release, approved by the City Attorney; said amount to be charged to Account No. 636506,  Fund - 0001, Organization - 1490, Program - 2631, Sub Class - S118.  This resolution would release the City from any further liability arising from this incident.
