Analysis:
This resolution authorizes the proper City officers to execute a one-year lease with James Brojanac d/b/a Avenue Brake Shop for parking spaces located at 5500 West Lisbon Avenue.
Body:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee has entered into a lease and lease extensions with James Brojanac d/b/a Avenue Brake Shop for parking spaces located at 5500 West Lisbon Avenue; and
Whereas, There has not been a rental increase on this property since 1996; and
Whereas, James Brojanac d/b/a Avenue Brake Shop, has requested that this lease be established for a one-year term commencing July 1, 2002, under the same terms and conditions as the former leases and extensions with the exception of the rent which will be increased from $70 per month to $80 per month, and for which there will be two one-year extensions; and
Whereas, No additional public parking needs have been identified for this lot; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officers are hereby authorized to enter into a one-year lease, with two one-year extensions permitted at the option of the City with James Brojanac d/b/a Avenue Brake Shop for parking spaces located at 5500 West Lisbon Avenue, beginning July 1, 2002, for $80 per month, payable in advance to the City of Milwaukee.
