Title

Resolution approving a memorandum of understanding between the Milwaukee Police Department and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources relating to the use of a large patrol boat.

Analysis

This resolution approves a memorandum of understanding between the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) relating to the MPD’s use of the WDNR’s large patrol boat while the MPD’s regular patrolling boat is being repaired.

Body                     

Whereas, The Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) operates a patrol boat for the patrol and protection of the inner and outer harbor of the City of Milwaukee; and

 

Whereas, This patrolling boat is being repaired and is not available to the Police Department for patrolling; and

 

Whereas, The Police Department requires the temporary use of a large patrol boat while its boat is being repaired, and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) is willing to make a suitable patrolling boat available to the MPD; and

 

Whereas, The WDNR and MPD have agreed upon the terms of use for this boat; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the memorandum of understanding between the Milwaukee Police Department and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for the use of a large patrol boat, a copy of which is attached to this file, is approved; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That the appropriate City officials are authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of the City.
