BODY:
Whereas, A petition was presented to the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee by Construction Aggregates Corporation of Michigan and others on the 26th day of May, 1992 for the vacation of West Canal Street from the South Menomonee Canal to a point 250 feet more or less west; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that said petition be and the same is hereby granted and that the following described portion of said street; to- wit:

That part of West Canal Street in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 29, Township 7 North, Range 22 East and the Northeast 1/4 of Section 32, Township 7 North, Range 22 East, described as follows: Commencing at the point of intersection of the present north line of West Canal Street with the Established Dock Line - Left Bank, of the South Menomonee Canal, as established under Ordinance No. 787, Common Council File No. 61-3943a, adopted March 20, 1962; thence Westerly, along said north line of West Canal Street, 250.00 feet to a point; thence South, as measured normal to said north line of West Canal Street, to a point in the present south line of West Canal Street; thence Easterly, along said present south line of West Canal Street, to a point in said Established Dock Line; thence Northerly, along said Established Dock Line, to the point of commencement

be and the same hereby is vacated for the reason that the same is of no public utility and the public interest requires the same to be vacated; and be it

Further Resolved, That as provided by Section 80.32(4) of the Wisconsin Statutes, such vacation shall not terminate the easements and rights incidental thereto acquired by or belonging to any county, town, village or city, or to any utility or person i...
