Title
An ordinance permitting property owners and lessees to park on any portion of their driveways, under certain conditions.

Analysis
This ordinance permits the owner or lessee of a property in a residential district to park a vehicle on any portion of the driveway, provided the following:
1. The driveway is a paved surface.
2. No portion of any vehicle extends onto a public sidewalk.
3. No portion of any vehicle extends beyond a curb line onto a public street.
4. The number of vehicles parked does not exceed limits imposed by other provisions of the code.
Further, the ordinance provides that vehicles parked pursuant to this provision not be parked in a manner perpendicular to the orientation of the driveway.

Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Section 101-23.6 of the code is repealed and recreated to read:
101-23.6. Driveway Parking in Residential Areas. 1. In residential districts, the owner or lessee of any property shall be permitted to park vehicles on any portion of the driveway, irrespective of whether or not the driveway is partially contained within the public right-of-way, provided the following:
a. The driveway is a paved surface.
b. No portion of any vehicle extends onto a public sidewalk.
c. No portion of any vehicle extends beyond a curb line onto a public street.
d. The number of vehicles parked does not exceed limits imposed by other provisions of the code.
2. Vehicles parked pursuant to sub. 1 shall not be parked in a manner perpendicular to the orientation of the driveway.

Part 2. Section 101-34-2-g of the code is amended to read:
101-34. Stipulation Procedure: Nonmoving Traffic Violations.
