Whereas, The Department of Employee Relations' Basic Plan Claims Special Purpose Account was budgeted at $26,048,422 for 2002; and
Whereas, In 2002, $26,779,451 in claims expense has been incurred, leaving an unpaid balance of $731,029 in 2002 expenditures; and
Whereas, An amount of $536,029 in budget fund transfers has been requested leaving an unfunded balance of $195,000; and
Whereas, These are nondiscretionary expenditures and additional funds are needed to pay these unfunded expenditure costs for 2002; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that an amount not to exceed $195,000 shall be transferred from the 2002 Common Council Contingent Fund (0001-9990-0001-C001-006300-2002) to the Department of Employee Relations' Claims Special Purpose Account (613001-0001-1654-1613-S114-2002); and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to establish all funds and necessary accounting procedures to fulfill the intent of this resolution.
