Title

Analysis
This resolution will result in the sale of a tax-deed vacant lot for residential construction.
Body
Whereas, The Milwaukee Christian Center, Inc., (“MCC”) has submitted an Offer to Purchase in the amount of $1 the tax-deed vacant lot at 2045-47 South 15th Street for construction of a single-family home for resale to qualified owner-occupants; and

Whereas, The Department of City Development (“DCD”) recommends acceptance of said Offer contingent upon final site and building plan approval by its Development Center prior to closing on said lot; and

Whereas, Said lot is to be sold in an “as is” condition without representations or warranties including but not limited to soil quality and subsurface condition; and

Whereas, The deed of conveyance for said lot may contain City-imposed deed restrictions preventing division of said lot and prohibiting construction without the prior approval of the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee; and

Whereas, To facilitate assemblage and construction, the City-imposed deed restrictions must be released; and

Whereas, This resolution will authorize the Commissioner of DCD, or designee, to prepare the necessary documents for deed restriction releases if required; and

Whereas, The City Plan Commission has determined that there is no municipal need for said lot; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the tax-deed vacant lot at 2045-47 South 15th Street is declared surplus to municipal needs, that the Offer to Purchase from the Milwaukee Christian Center, Inc., is accepted and that the Commissioner of DCD, or designe...
