BODY:
Whereas, On November 12, 1997, the City of Milwaukee filed an action in Circuit Court, Milwaukee County, In the Matter of the Foreclosure of Tax Liens Pursuant to Section 75.521, Wisconsin Statutes, by the City of Milwaukee, List of Tax Liens for 1997, No. 3, Case No. 97-CV-009266; and
Whereas, Said action included the following property owned by Robert B. Bailey for delinquent 1995 real estate taxes:
Parcel No. 64 Address: 4312 North 19th Street Tax Key No.: 244-0327-000-4(0) Legal Description: North Ridge in SE 1/4 Sec 6-7-22, Block 3, Lot 6; and
Whereas, After a trial to the court on March 27, 1998, the Hon. Victor Manian, presiding, the court entered an order determining the 1995 real estate taxes had been paid to the City of Milwaukee as evidenced by a stamped receipt dated December 28, 1995; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the proper City officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to cancel as an account receivable the 1995 real estate taxes for the property located at 4312 North 19th Street, Tax Key No. 244-0327-000-4(0) in the amount of $1,434.07, and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Treasurer be and hereby is authorized and directed to charge said amount to the Remission of Taxes Fund,...
