Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a project agreement with the WISDOT for funding the preliminary engineering for the rehabilitation of the West Wisconsin Avenue Lift Bridge over Milwaukee River with 80% Federal/State aid under the Local Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation Program. This resolution also directs the City Comptroller to transfer funds and establish project/grant chartfield values for the preliminary engineering for this project. The estimated total cost for the project is $11,200,000 of which the City’s share is $10,240,000 and the grantor share is $960,000. The estimated total preliminary engineering cost for the projects is $1,200,000, of which the City’s share is $240,000 and the grantor share is $960,000. Federal/State aid for construction funding for this project will be requested in the 2012-2014 federal/state aid program cycle. Construction funding, therefore, will be included in a future resolution.
