Analysis

Currently, the fee for certification or recertification of a city disadvantaged business enterprise is 0.2% of the gross sales, with the fee not to exceed $2,400.  Under this ordinance, a flat fee of $100 shall be paid by an entity seeking certification or recertification as a disadvantaged business enterprise.

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1.  Section 81-41.5 of the code is repealed and recreated to read:

81-41.5.  Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Certification and Recertification.

The fee for certification or recertification of a city disadvantaged business enterprise shall be $100.

Part 2. This ordinance takes effect January 1, 2002.
