Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to enter into an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement with the City of Wauwatosa for the provision of street-sweeping services to Wauwatosa by the City of Milwaukee.
Body
Whereas, On October 15, 2002, the Common Council adopted File Number 020886, a resolution authorizing the Commissioner of Public Works to enter into an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement with the City of Wauwatosa for the provision of street-sweeping services to Wauwatosa by the City of Milwaukee; and

Whereas, This Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement was subsequently executed, and resulted in the provision of street-sweeping services to Wauwatosa by the City of Milwaukee in 2003; and

Whereas, The City of Wauwatosa was pleased with the street-sweeping services provided by the City of Milwaukee in 2003; and

Whereas, The City of Wauwatosa again desires to have the City of Milwaukee provide street-sweeping services; and

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works is able to provide these services using existing personnel and equipment; and

Whereas, It is desirable to provide consolidated public services within the Milwaukee metropolitan area to the extent that such consolidation results in more cost-efficient provision of services without any decline in service quality; and

Whereas, Intergovernmental collaboration, such as City of Milwaukee provision of street-sweeping services to the City of Wauwatosa, is an appropriate means to accomplish this goal; and

Whereas, The Department of Public Works-Operations Division anticipates that the City will receive $78,520 in revenue...
