Analysis

This resolution directs the installation and construction of certain public improvements which have been determined to be nonassessable by the Commissioner of Public Works.

Body

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted preliminary resolutions determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct nonassessable improvements; and

Whereas, Plans, specifications and cost estimates have been prepared for the following described improvements:

13th Aldermanic District

W. Howard Ave. - S. 20th St. to a point 250 feet m/l west of S. 20th Pl. (WT410011063) File Number 991919:  Relay water main. (Nonassessable Water Fund -- $125,000)

14th Aldermanic District

S. Chase Ave. Structure over the Kinnickinnic River (ST30382201) (2060-00-74) File Number 930068:  Remove and replace structure. (State/Federal Funds -- $1,520,000; State/Federal Grantor Structure Fund $75,000; State/Federal Grantor Paving Fund $75,000)

; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
