- Analysis -

This resolution allocates the sum of $500 out of General City Cash to provide an increase in the petty cash fund of the Municipal Court to facilitate transactions and in-person payments at the teller windows.

BODY:

Whereas, A number of citizens are having difficulty paying their fines as the Municipal Court tellers receiving payments have inadequate change; and

Whereas, These citizens must then travel to other city offices in search of change to pay their citations; and

Whereas, This need to get the correct change creates difficulties for both citizens and city employes in other offices; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the sum of $500 be allocated out of General City Cash for purposes of increasing the petty cash fund in Municipal Court to $1050.
