This resolution amends CCFN 210237 accepting and funding of the 2021-2026 National Initiative to Address COVID-19 Health Disparities Among Populations at High-Risk and Underserved, Including Racial and Ethnic Minority Populations and Rural Communities grant from Center for Disease Control (CDC).The purpose of the grant is to address health disparities and advance health equity by expanding MHD workforce capacity and services.

Whereas, Common Council File Number 210237 authorized the Health Department to accept and fund the 2021-2026 National Initiative to Address COVID-19 Health Disparities Among Populations at High-Risk and Underserved, Including Racial and Ethnic Minority Populations and Rural Communities grant for the purpose of address COVID-19-related health disparities and advance health equity byexpanding MHD workforce capacity and services to prevent and control COVID-19 infection (or transmission) among populations at higher risk and that are underserved; and

Whereas, this grant provided for a grantor share total of $6,639,489, and a City share total of $0; and

Whereas, The position authority for this program is increased by four positions, and total cost is increased by $0; Now, therefore, be it


Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81-5c; and, be it
