Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper city officers be and they hereby are authorized and directed to issue a city check in the total sum of $3,525.00 payable to Attorney Larry Farris, UAW-GM Legal Services Plan, 5007 South Howell Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53207, on behalf of Lawrence and Lynn Watkins, to reimburse them for property damage; and, be it
Further Resolved, That members have reviewed the records relating to the incident that occurred at 343 East Wisconsin Avenue, and have taken testimony from the claimant and City representatives. Based on this review, members of the Committee believe it is most cost-effective to compromise and reduce the amount claimed from $6,750.00 to $3,525.00. The amount recommended for settlement of the claim, $3,525.00, represents the actual cash value of the claimant's automobile according to the Blue Book value. This resolution would release the City from any further liability arising from this incident; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the check is to be delivered upon presentation of a proper release, approved by the City Attorney; said amount to be charged to Account No. 636505, Fund - 0001, Organization - 1490, Program - 2631, Sub Class - S118.
