This ordinance corrects the legal description of a previously approved and established Development Incentive Zone.
BODY:
Whereas, A Development Incentive Zone was passed by the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on April 13, 1998; and

Whereas, Prior to its approval, a public hearing was held by the City Plan Commission on March 9, 1998 which identified the boundaries of the Development Incentive Zone; and

Whereas, The Zoning, Neighborhoods and Development Committee of the Common Council held a public hearing on March 31, 1998 which also identified the boundaries of the Development Incentive Zone; and

Whereas, Errors in the written legal description of the boundaries of the Development Incentive Zone have been discovered which should be corrected to match the approved map; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Section 295.91.0029 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances is repealed and recreated to read as follows:

Section 295.91.0029. The zoning map is amended to reestablish the Development Incentive Zone for the area bounded and described as follows:

Part of Lots 6 and 7 in Block 3, all of Lot 8 in Block 3, The Highlands, a recorded subdivision, Parcel 2 of Certified Survey Map No. 3121, and lands all lying in the Northeast 1/4 and Southeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 7, and the Northwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 7, all in Township 8 North, Range 21 East, City of Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, bounded and described as follows:
