Resolution relative to the application, acceptance and funding of a 1998 Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Urban Forestry Grant.
ANLS:
This resolution authorizes the Office of Employment and Youth Services to apply for, accept and fund a program with a grant from the State of Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources in the amount of $45,101 with a city share of $26,156 (58%) and a grantor share of $18,945 (42%). The purpose of the grant is to fund DCD-OEYS' "Summer Urban Forestry Employment and Youth Training Internship".
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the State of Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for its Summer Urban Forestry Internship; and
Whereas, The operation of this grant project/program from January 1, 1998 through December 31, 1998 would cost $45,101 of which $26,156 (58%) would be provided by the city, $18,945 (42%) would be provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to State of Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is authorized and the Office of Employment and Youth Services shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Encumber in the parent accounts of the 1998 Special Revenue Accounts-Grant and Aid Projects, the following amounts for the project/program titled Urban Forestry Youth Training and Employment Program:
Account No. Account Amount 15-010-0100 Grantor Share $18,945 15-010-0101 In-kind City Share $26,156
