Resolution relative to the cost participation and installation of traffic signal improvements at the intersection of West Kilbourn Avenue and North 6th Street under a Highway Safety Improvement Program project in the 4th Aldermanic District at a total estimated cost of $73,941.84, with an estimated grantor share of $36,000.00, and an estimated City share of $37,941.84, and to install these improvements upon execution of the agreement. This resolution also authorizes the Comptroller to establish and transfer funds to the appropriate accounts for the project. The total cost of the project is $210,941.84, with a grantor share of $159,300.00, and a City share of $51,641.84.

Whereas, A revised Project Agreement for the installation of traffic signal improvements at the intersection of West Kilbourn Avenue and North 6th Street under the 2014 Highway Safety Improvement Program was approved by the Common Council under File Number 110442; and,

Whereas, The proposed traffic signal improvements will improve safety for pedestrians and vehicles at the intersection; and

Whereas, Additional traffic signal improvements at the intersection are needed to meet new requirements of the 2009 Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices and complete additional hardware and cabling work not originally included in the revised State Municipal Agreement approved under Common Council File Number 110442; and

Whereas, These additional improvements will increase the cost of the project by $33,941.84 and are one hundred percent City funded; ...
