Analysis
This resolution will result in the sale of vacant, City-owned lots.
Body
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee via Common Council File No. 901699, adopted on March 5, 1991, and renewed by File Nos. 912020, 921705, 931649, 941639, 951631, 961842, 971891, and 990111, authorized the Department of City Development to administer a streamlined, one dollar City-owned vacant lot sale program for adjoining residential property owners; and
 
Whereas, Since the program is successful in eliminating blighting influences in the target area and since the sale of these lots results in a decrease in the City's overall annual land management expenses, the Department of City Development has recommended that the program be extended for an additional two years; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that upon the recommendation of the City Plan Commission, the Department of City Development is authorized and directed to extend for two years from the date of adoption of this resolution, the one dollar City-owned vacant lot sale program under the same terms and conditions contained in Common Council File No. 901699 adopted on March 5, 1991; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That any vacant lot sales processed and/or closed since expiration of the last enabling resolution and prior to adoption hereof shall be deemed valid in all respects.
