Analysis
This resolution effectuates a provision of the 2004 adopted city budget relating to expenditure of $8,000,000 provided in the Capital Improvements budget DPW - Water Works. The resolution requires, that prior to release of funds for the new Water Works distribution facility, the DPW-Water Works submit a plan for the facility for Common Council review and approval.

Whereas, The 2004 adopted city budget provides $8,000,000 in the DPW - Water Works for a new distribution facility, replacing two current distribution facilities and realizing efficiencies; and
Whereas, By amendment and footnote to the 2004 adopted city budget, the Common Council wants to ensure that this distribution facility is designed efficiently and within budget; and
Whereas, This distribution facility is an integral part of the DPW - Water Works; now therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that release of funds for this new distribution facility is contingent upon approval by the Common Council of a plan for the facility submitted by the DPW - Water Works.
