Title

Resolution directing the Department of Public Works to implement a quality control reporting and monitoring system for services provided to the public.  

Analysis

This resolution directs the Department of Public Works to develop and implement a monitoring and reporting system for various activities performed by the Department of Public Works in each aldermanic district. 

 

Body

Whereas, The Common Council would like to determine the frequency, consistency and effectiveness of the work completed by the Department of Public Works related to neighborhood cleanliness and roadway maintenance; now, therefore be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council and the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of Public Works is directed to develop and implement a system for tracking and reporting activities performed in the right of way; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is directed to report activities performed in each aldermanic district to the local Common Council member on a monthly basis; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That reported activities shall include the cleaning and maintenance of medians, the removal of debris from the roadway, pothole-filling activities and snow-removal activities and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That the Department’s monthly reports shall include the dates, times and locations of activities performed in the previous month and activities scheduled for the upcoming month.
