Analysis
This substitute ordinance makes positions changes to the following departments:
Health Department and Police Department

Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 060494 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

Under “Health Department, Administration Division, Milwaukee Fetal Infant Mortality Review Grant (M)”, add one position of “Office Assistant II (0.5 FTE)(M)” and amend footnote “(M)” to read as follows: “To expire 5/31/08 unless the Milwaukee Fetal Infant Mortality Review Grant, available from the Black Health Coalition of Wisconsin is extended”; under “Laboratory Services Division”, delete the title “Bioterrorism Grant - Focus C (Q)” and two positions of “Microbiologist III (Q)” and add the title “Bioterrorism - Lab Grant (Q)” and one position of “Microbiologist III (Q)" and amend footnote “(Q)” to read as follows: “To expire 8/31/07 unless the Bioterrorism-Lab Grant available from the Wisconsin State Lab of Hygiene is extended”; amend footnote “(AAA)” to read as follows: “To expire 3/31/08 unless the Weinhardt Computerized HIV Intervention Grant is extended.”

Under “Police Department, Operations Decision Unit, Assigned As Needed Within Decision Unit”, delete fifteen positions of “Community Services Specialist”, and add fifteen positions of “Police Services Assistant.”

Part 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

Part 3. The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
