This resolution authorizes and directs the Commissioner of Public Works to proceed with the procurement of professional services for monitoring sanitary flows in selected basins.

BODY:

Whereas, The Department of Public Works desires to conduct a flow monitoring study in selected sanitary sewer basins; and

Whereas, The objective of the flow monitoring study is to determine the amount of clear water entry into the sanitary sewers within the selected basins and to recommend the necessary rehabilitation work needed to minimize the entry of clear water into the basins; and

Whereas, Funds have been budgeted in the Sewer Maintenance Fund 634001-0490-6831-0100 to conduct a flow monitoring study; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to proceed with the procurement of professional services for monitoring flows in selected sanitary basins in the City of Milwaukee.
