Substitute resolution relative to Assembly and Senate caucus amendments to Senate Bill 77, the 1997-99 Wisconsin State Budget.
BODY:
Whereas, The Judiciary and Legislation Committee recommends the following positions on the Assembly Budget Document hereinafter listed and the Common Council being advised of said matters; now, therefore, be
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it approves the following positions and instructs the Division of Intergovernmental Relations to appear before the proper committees and use its best endeavors to have the positions accepted, viz:
Oppose: Milwaukee Police Associaton Provision.
Property Tax Exemption Language.
Elimination of Legislative Drafting Privileges.
Recycling Proposal
Oppose Unless Amended:
Individual Income Tax Cut
Transportation Plan
Support: Refund Intercept
Alcoholic Beverage Licensing Procedures
;and, be it
Further Resolved, That it takes the following positions on the State Budget Document and instructs the Division of Intergovernmental Relations to appear before the proper committees and use it best endeavors to have the positions accepted, viz:
Oppose: Tranfer 100 million to School Levy Credit
Water Service to Mobile Home Parks
Support: Recycling Proposal
Library System Aids
Library Service Contracts
Technology Grants for Public Libraries
Additional Assistant District Attorneys for Milwaukee County
Disposition of Unclaimed Funds
Hazmat Response Team
