Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to install the necessary traffic control facilities, both temporary and permanent, in conjunction with Federal/State Aid highway improvement contracts with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
Body
Whereas, The Federal Program provides cost participation for traffic control improvements in conjunction with the paving of highways located on the Federal/State Aid Highway System; and

Whereas, Common Council Resolution File Number 911046 adopted on September 24, 1991 authorized and directed the Commissioner of Public Works to execute an agreement for programming and construction of the improvement of the Sixth Street Viaduct Over the Menomonee Valley with Federal/State Aid; and

Whereas, The total estimated cost of this project is $ 20,000 for the installation of temporary traffic control signals; and

Whereas, One and seven-eighths percent of the participating costs or $ 375 is non-reimbursable and is included in the Division's 2001 Capital Purpose Project/Grant Number ST320010000; and

Whereas, Ninety-eight and one-eighth percent of the participating project cost or $ 19,625 is reimbursable from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, and this amount is not included in Division accounts, and should be earmarked for this project in the 2001 Capital Grant and Aid Projects Fund Project/Grant Number SP032010100; now, therefore, be it
